On the remote Canadian highways in 1976, Tom and Alice are on a road trip to repair their marriage and heal the wounds of recent tragic events. Blue is pregnant and the two are hitchhiking their way across the country. Out of kindness, Tom and Alice offer them a ride and soon, the foursome seem like old friends. Now, Alice and Tom are their prisoners, forced into increasingly dangerous situations as they traverse the country.
