Nate, a 12-year-old boy living in New Hampshire, takes over the care of an enormous egg laid by one of the family's hens, and the last thing he expects to hatch from it is a triceratops! Illustrations. Young Nate Twitchell is surprised when one of the hens on his family farm lays a giant egg.
